Important Information Before Placing Your Order

At Glass Plaque SA, every plaque is handmade with care. Because of this, please allow for small variations — these are part of the handmade process and do not affect overall quality. Examples may include:

  • Slight alignment differences when album art is cut and placed.
  • Small offsets in the straightness of glass (as it is hand cut).
  • Minor print bubbles.

These are natural with handcrafted products, but your plaque will still be of high quality.


Custom Album Art

  • Please upload a high-resolution image. Low-quality uploads will affect the final print, and we cannot be held responsible.
  • If no image is uploaded, we will use the original album art (if available).

Turnaround Time

  • Production: Orders are processed Monday–Friday (09:00–16:00). Production begins the following Monday after payment is received and is usually completed by Friday of that same week.
  • Delivery: Shipping takes 2–3 working days after production is completed. This may vary based on location and courier performance.
  • Total Estimated Time: Roughly 7–10 working days from order confirmation to delivery.
  • Please plan ahead — our plaques are handmade and take time to perfect.
  • Framed plaques may require an additional 3 working days.

Priority & Urgent Orders

  • Priority Orders (R100): Your order skips the waiting period and goes into the current batch. This speeds up processing but does not guarantee a fixed date.
  • Urgent Orders (R150): We aim to complete within 2–3 working days, depending on availability. If you have a specific date, we’ll try our best to meet it, but delays may occur.
  • ⚠️ Priority and Urgent options do not apply to framed plaques.
  • Turnaround time excludes delivery.

Communication & Updates

  • We aim to provide updates throughout the process (design → printing → packaging → delivery booking).
  • Updates may not always be daily, as some stages take time to complete. Customers are welcome to message us for progress after 5 working days from the order date.
  • If you need your order urgently, please select the Priority or Urgent options at checkout.

Delivery Policy

  • We may use Courier Guy, PostNet, or Uber Connect, depending on availability and delivery speed.
  • For nearby deliveries, we might use local drivers or Uber Connect to ensure faster service.
  • Courier Guy usually delivers within the same day for Johannesburg/Gauteng, or within 1–2 working days for other areas.
  • Additional Courier Fees: Courier Guy may charge an extra R83 for deliveries to high-risk or out-of-range areas, including rural locations, Soweto, Tembisa, and Katlehong. This fee is determined by the courier and is beyond our control.
  • Courier fees are fixed at checkout to cover packaging, handling, and admin — even when faster or alternative delivery methods are used.
  • If you prefer a specific delivery method, please confirm it in writing before dispatch.
  • Once your order is collected by a courier or driver, tracking information will be shared via WhatsApp or email.

Packaging & Care

  • All plaques are packaged securely to prevent breakage during transit.
  • We are not liable for courier-related glass damages once your package has been handed over to the courier.
  • Printing errors or damages caused during production will be reprinted free of charge (within 2 weeks after approval). Return delivery is at the client’s cost.
  • Once delivered, you are responsible for plaque care — handle with caution as it is glass.

Returns & Replacements

  • We do not offer refunds, only replacements of equal value (Ts & Cs apply).
  • Return delivery costs are the client’s responsibility, but we will reprint and resend at no extra charge once the returned plaque is received.
